Dehradun: So far 25 people have died in a horrific road accident in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. It is being told that a bus full of devotees returning after visiting Yamunotri fell into a deep gorge at Damta in Uttarkashi district, due to which 25 passengers died in it. At the same time, 4 to 5 people are said to be seriously injured in this horrific road accident.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have expressed their grief over this bus accident in Uttarkashi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah says that he is deeply hurt by this incident. Regarding which he has also talked to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami.

Amit Shah expressed grief
In a tweet from his Twitter account, Home Minister Amit Shah informed that ‘The information of a bus full of devotees falling into the gorge in Uttarakhand is very sad. I have spoken to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami ji regarding this. Local administration and SDRF teams are engaged in rescue work and the injured are being taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. NDRF is also reaching there soon.
Rajnath Singh expressed grief
Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has also expressed grief over the horrific bus accident in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand on Sunday. He expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the incident. Rajnath Singh tweeted from his Twitter account and wrote, ‘I am deeply saddened by the news of the bus accident in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Many people have lost their lives in this accident. I express my condolences to their families and wish the injured a speedy recovery.

CM Dhami announced compensation
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while announcing the compensation for the road accident in Uttarkashi, announced one lakh rupees to the families of those killed in the accident and 50 thousand rupees to the injured. CM Dhami tweeted on his Twitter and wrote, ‘In the heart-wrenching road accident near Damta in Purola, Uttarkashi, I announce an assistance of Rs 1 lakh to the families of the dead and Rs 50 thousand to the injured.

PM announces ex-gratia
Earlier, the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, had also announced a relief package expressing grief over this road accident. The Prime Minister has announced that Rs 2 lakh each will be given to the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each to the injured from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
The Prime Minister has announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF for the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the accident in Uttarakhand. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000 each.

Expressing grief in a tweet made by the PMO, PM Modi said, “The bus accident in Uttarakhand is extremely painful. In this, for those who have lost their loved ones. I express my condolences. The local administration under the supervision of the state government is engaged in all possible help on the spot.”
