Holi 2023: Due to the festival of Holi, there will be trading in the Share Market only for four days this week. But the interesting thing is that Holi will be celebrated across the country on March 8 (Wednesday). But the stock market will remain closed on March 7 (Tuesday) only. That means the Holi of the stock market is today only. Both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) have given information about the Holi holiday on their website. The market will open on March 8 (Wednesday) after today’s holiday. Apart from Holi in the month of March, markets will also remain closed on the occasion of Ram Navami on March 30.
According to the stock market holiday calendar available on the BSE website, there will be no trading in equity segment, equity derivative segment and SLB segment today. In addition, trading in the currency derivatives segment and interest rate derivatives segment will remain suspended for the day.
Trading activities in all segments of the stock market will remain closed on account of Holi, but trading in the commodity derivatives segment and electronic gold receipts (EGR) segment will take place in the evening session. As per the information, both these segments will remain closed from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Trading in the commodity derivatives segment and Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) will be normal in the evening session commencing at 5:00 PM.

Holi is one of the two stock market holidays in March 2023. The next stock market holiday will be on March 30, 2023 for the Ram Navami festival. The stock market will also remain closed on March 30 on the occasion of Ram Navami. According to the list of stock market holidays, March 7, 2023 is the second holiday of the stock market this year.
