Home Ministry approve extension of Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar’s tenure for the second time

The Home Ministry on Tuesday extended the tenure of Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar by three months. His tenure was ending on May 31, 2024, which has been extended till August 2024.

New Delhi: The Home Ministry on Tuesday extended the tenure of Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar by three months. His tenure was ending on May 31, 2024, which has been extended till August 2024. Even before this, Mr. Kumar’s tenure was extended for 6 months. The previous expansion was opposed by the Delhi Government.

Naresh Kumar has been given extension of service for the second time by the Union Home Ministry. Earlier, Naresh Kumar was to retire in November 2023, but the Central Government had given a service extension of 6 months. Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar is a 1987 batch IAS officer. The Union Home Ministry has said in the order that the service extension of Naresh Kumar will be effective for three months, from June 1 to August 31.
