Uttar Pradesh: 9 people dead after wall collapses due to heavy rain in Lucknow. The Chief Minister has also announced financial aid of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and also gave instructions for proper treatment of the injured people.

Lucknow: Heavy rain continues in many areas of Uttar Pradesh. Due to heavy rains in the capital Lucknow, a horrific accident happened on Friday. Here 9 people died due to wall collapse near Dilkusha Garden in Cantt police station area. One person got injured. On the other hand, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, taking cognizance of this incident, has instructed senior officers to reach the spot immediately.

This accident happened in Dilkusha under Lucknow Cantt. Here 9 people died due to wall collapse, including 3 men, 3 women and 3 children. One person is injured. It is being told that these people were sleeping near the wall. Suddenly he got hit by the fall of the wall. Police-administration is engaged in rescue work on the spot.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the mishap and asked the senior officials to reach the spot. The Chief Minister has also announced financial aid of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and also gave instructions for proper treatment of the injured people.

There has been an outcry in the Purvanchal and Bundelkhand areas, including Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. In view of the situation, schools and offices have been closed in many places. Lucknow DM Surya Pal Gangwar has declared a holiday in all government, non-government, private schools in view of the situation.

There is also a possibility of thunderstorm with rain in Uttar Pradesh for the next three days. Meteorological Center Lucknow has issued an alert. The low pressure area coming from the Bay of Bengal is entering UP via Bundelkhand. Due to this there will be heavy rain in many districts of the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, 35 districts in Banda, Chitrakut, Kaashambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Kabir Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Kanauj, Kanpur city, Kanpur country, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar Mainpuri, Etawah, Jhansi, Auraiya, Jalon, Hamirpur, Mahoba and Lalitpur are expected to rain.
