Horrific Kerala murder case: couple accused of human sacrifice consumed victims’ human flesh

During the interrogation of the accused couple in the Kerala Human Sacrifice Case, the police have made a shocking disclosure. The accused couple - Bhagaval singh, a traditional massage therapist, and his wife Laila - told police that they ate the flesh of their victims after committing the murder.

Thiruvananthapuram: Yet another horrific details came out in human scarifice case, accused couple ate victims’ flesh. During the interrogation of the accused couple in the Kerala Human Sacrifice Case, the police have made a shocking disclosure. The accused couple – Bhagaval Singh, a traditional massage therapist and healer, and his wife Laila – told the police that they ate the flesh of their victims after committing the murder.

The incident reportedly took place at Elanthur in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. The main accused Bhagaval Singh was the former branch committee secretary of the CPM and is presently a member of the CPM local committee of Elanthur, Pathanamthitta.

Police sources say that the accused revealed shocking details during the collection of evidence kept in their house. Forensic investigation and evidence collection will continue on Wednesday as well. The two deceased have been identified as Rosileen (49), a native of Thrissur and Padma (52), a native of Tamil Nadu, who were murdered on June 6 and September 26, respectively. The trio tortured and killed two women before their bodies were cut and buried.

The couple is being questioned at the Kadavantara police station and will be produced in the magistrate’s court today. Meanwhile, a CCTV footage of Padmam, the first victim in the case, went to the Shafi (the agent who introduced the two women to the couple for ‘sacrifice’) hotel in Ernakulam during the month of June.

Both the victim women used to sell lottery tickets on the streets to earn a living. Police said they were allegedly sacrificed by the accused to settle financial disputes and bring wealth and prosperity in life. During interrogation, the accused revealed that they slit the throats of two women, cut their body parts into pieces and buried them near their home in Pathanamthitta district.

Based on the missing complaint, Kadavantara police launched an investigation which led to the shocking story of human sacrifice.
