Telangana: A fire broke out in the under-construction secretariat building in Hyderabad in the early hours of Friday. 10 fire tenders reached the spot and brought the fire under control. Hyderabad Police has informed that no casualty has been reported in the incident.
According to sources, the fire broke out while doing wood work on the ground floor of the building. A fire broke out in a huge amount of plastic items kept on the ground floor, which took a severe form in a short while. Seeing the smoke coming out of the roof, the local people informed the police and fire brigade.
10 fire engines at spot
As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade team reached the spot and with the help of 10 fire engines, the fire was controlled. Fire engines took immediate action on the emergency after which the fire could be prevented from spreading.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the fire. Police believe the fire started during woodworking on the ground floor. Let us tell you that Chief Minister KCR had talked about the inauguration of the new secretariat on January 17, but it was pushed forward.
