Hyderabad: 9 dead after fire breaks out in building, blaze caused by spark while repairing car

Hyderabad: Nine people died and three others people injured after a massive fire broke out at a residential building in Nampally on Monday. After receiving information about this fire tenders were reached on the spot.

An official said that the fire occurred on the ground floor where chemicals were kept. According to the initial assessment, the blaze was caused by a spark while repairing a car.

Giving information about this, an official said that the fire brigade was alerted at around 9:35 am. After this incident, Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and the rescue operation is underway.

The Fire department official said that the cause of the fire and the extent of damage are yet to be officially ascertained. DCP Central Venkateshwarlu said,” Six people including two women died due to asphyxiation. Three more whose condition was serious were rushed to the hospital.”
