He affirmed, “The next five years hold the potential for unprecedented development. The paramount juncture to materialize the 2047 vision lies within these next five years. When August 15 arrives once more, I will stand before you at the Red Fort, sharing the nation’s achievements and advancements.”

During his address, PM Modi also indirectly criticized the Gandhi family, urging the public to eliminate corruption, nepotism, and appeasement from the political landscape. Looking ahead to the nation’s centenary celebration of freedom in 2047, PM Modi voiced his conviction in India’s potential for becoming a developed nation, grounded in its capabilities and available resources. He emphasized the necessity to combat three critical issues: corruption, dynastic politics, and appeasement.

In a notable shift from his customary address, PM Modi adopted a more personal tone, referring to the populace of the nation as “my beloved 140 crore family members,” rather than the traditional salutations of “my fellow citizens” and “my beloved brothers and sisters.” This alteration was consistently echoed throughout his speech, as he repeatedly addressed the country’s people as “parivaarjan (family members).”
