IAF’s trainee aircraft crashes in a farm in Pune district, female pilot sustain injuries: Official sources

Pune: An Indian Air Force trainer aircraft is reported to have crashed at Kadbanbari in Indapur taluka of Maharashtra’s Pune district. Pilot Bhavna Rathore is slightly injured in this accident. It is believed that the accident happened due to a technical fault. After the accident, the female pilot was treated with the help of local people. According to the information, the woman pilot has not suffered any serious injury.

The plane crashed due to running out of fuel. The female pilot was slightly injured in this. She is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Shelgaon in Indapur taluka. At present, the staff of Karwar Aviation Baramati is present at the incident site and police have made proper arrangements at the incident site. The plane crashed in Dadaram Abaji Barhate’s farm.

Pilot training is provided through Carver Aviation in Baramati. Apprentice pilot Bhavika Rathod was practicing for this plane. According to this, the flight took off from Baramati in the morning. But after some time technical problem started to be felt. Suddenly the plane ran out of fuel and the plane crashed in a field in Kadbanwadi village of Indapur taluka. This farm belonged to Barhate. Bhavika, who was injured in the accident, is undergoing training at Carver Aviation.

When this accident happened, there was a lot of excitement in the area. At that time, the youth of the neighboring settlement entered the incident site showing social consciousness. When they saw the pilot, they immediately took Bhavika Rathod out of the plane. The pilot sustained minor injuries and was shifted to a safe place. A team of officers and employees of Karwar Aviation has also reached the spot.
