Char Dham Yatra 2023: Char Dham Yatra has special importance in Hinduism, its features are mentioned in Puranas. Thousands of lakhs of devotees throng here when their doors are opened. After Kovid, now the enthusiasm of the devotees is getting back in these dhams. Last year, so many people thronged Kedarnath to have darshan of Lord Shiva that there was no place to even set foot and there was a lack of arrangements. That’s why online registration has started in the year 2023 even before the doors of the temples are opened.
Let us tell you that after the opening of the online registration portal, more than 81,000 registrations have been done for only Kedarnath and Badrinath since February 24. This year, online registration has been given priority to ease the process of admission for the pilgrims. In the past many years people had to stand for hours in cold weather to have darshan of the devotees.
How to register online?
Go to the official website https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in
Click on the Register button and use the login form for the Yatra when it opens.
Complete the form by filling all the personal details required.
– It will be verified through OTP.
After completion of registration, login again with mobile number and password.
Once the registration process is complete, the pilgrim will receive an SMS containing the unique registration number and will then download the letter for travel.
Photometric/biometric registration of devotees is mandatory to start Char Dham Yatra.
Yatra registration letter will be given to the devotees after the online/offline registration process is completed.
Pilgrims can book their tickets to reach Kedarnath via helicopter on the official website – https://uk.gov.in/
Char Dham Yatra 2023 rules
After registration, a QR code will be sent to the registered mobile number of the devotee.
After this everyone will have to show the QR code at the time of darshan.
A token will also be provided along with the slot.
Online registration will help in estimating the expected number of pilgrims and arranging better facilities for the same.
Registration is available for Kedarnath and Badrinath which will open on April 25 and April 27 respectively.
Passengers ID proof will have to be submitted at the time of online booking.
