‘I’m Back’: Former US President Trump writes first Facebook, YouTube post after two-year ban

US: Former US President Donald Trump is back on Facebook and YouTube. Donald Trump’s Facebook and YouTube accounts have been unbanned. Donald Trump’s Facebook and YouTube accounts were banned for the last 2 years. Donald Trump made his first Facebook post on Friday after the ban was lifted.

Trump shared a 12-second video on Facebook, writing, “I am Back”. In this video, after winning the 2016 elections, he has a glimpse of his victory and also tries to launch his campaign for the 2024 elections.

After the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, Meta suspended Donald Trump’s account for inflammatory posts on the Capitol Hill riots. Alphabet Inc-owned YouTube said it has unbanned former US President Donald Trump’s YouTube channel after more than two years of suspension.

A YouTube insider tweeted, “Donald Trump’s channel is no longer banned as of today. He can upload new content. We have taken this step to give voters an equal opportunity to hear from the major national candidates ahead of the elections.”

Donald Trump shared the first video on his YouTube channel after the removal of the ban and wrote, “I am Back”. Let us tell you that after the fatal attack on the US Parliament on 6 January 2021, both Facebook and YouTube banned Donald Trump’s account.
