IMD alert heavy rain occur in these 15 state today, Strong winds to blow in Delhi-NCR today

New Delhi: Strong winds are expected in Delhi-NCR today during the day and the weather is expected to be pleasant. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in Delhi can reach 40 degree Celsius on May 19. Rain accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) very likely at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar today.

New Delhi: Strong winds are expected in Delhi-NCR today during the day and the weather is expected to be pleasant. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in Delhi can reach 40 degree Celsius on May 19. Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 36.5 degree Celsius on May 18, which was 4 degree Celsius less than normal. 10 mm in Delhi in the last 24 hours. Rain was recorded.

According to IMD, the weather in Uttar Pradesh is likely to remain generally dry and dusty winds (20-30 kmph) are likely to blow in the state. According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on May 19. On the other hand, there is a possibility of rain with lightning and strong winds (speed of 40-50 kmph) and thunder at different places of Gangetic West Bengal.

Rain accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) very likely at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar today. On the other hand, rain with lightning is expected at some places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe.

According to IMD, the maximum temperature is between 38-42 degree Celsius in many parts of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Central and adjoining East India and North Peninsular India. The maximum temperature in many parts of the country is near normal or below normal.

No heat wave conditions were observed in any part of the country. There is a possibility of an increase of 2-3 degree Celsius in the maximum temperature in Maharashtra during the next 5 days. During May 20 to 22, there is a possibility of heat wave in different areas of Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh.

Whereas due to moist air and high temperature, warm and uncomfortable weather is likely to prevail over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Konkan and Goa, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Kerala and Tamil Nadu till May 20 during next few days.
