IMD alert heavy rainfall in the southern and eastern states of the country today, yellow alert for Odisha districts

New Delhi: According to IMD, third cyclonic systems are active across the country. At the same time, the Monsoon trough is moving north from its normal position at sea level. Due to its impact, heavy rains are expected in many states of South India and Northeast today, while moderate to heavy rains may occur in Jharkhand and some parts of West Bengal and Bihar.

According to the weather department, there is a possibility of heavy rain and thundershower at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh till September 9. At the same time, the possibility of moderate to heavy rains has also been expressed in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal till September 8. Similarly, heavy rains have been predicted in Telangana, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Kerala for the next four days.

IMD said that there is a possibility of heavy rain and lightning in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura today. On the other hand, there is a possibility of heavy rain and thundershowers in Odisha in the next 24 hours. IMD has also issued a yellow alert for 23 districts of Odisha. According to the Meteorological Department, the eastern part of the country including Chhattisgarh may receive heavy rains till September 6.

According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area is forming in the Bay of Bengal from September 7 to 8, due to which there is a possibility of rain in some parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar. At the same time, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning at isolated places.

Bihar has so far recorded 36 per cent less rainfall than normal. IMD has released the weather forecast till 8 September 2022. IMD says that due to change in weather conditions, there is a possibility of good rains in Bihar till 6 September. After this, till 7th and 8th September 2022, scattered rain has been predicted in some places in the state.

Today it will be cloudy throughout the day in the national capital Delhi. Although there is no chance of rain. On September 6, the sky will remain cloudy. On the other hand, there is a possibility of light rain in the capital on 7 and 8 September. According to the IMD, there may be rain and thundershowers on September 9 and 10.

According to the IMD’s forecast, light rain may occur in some parts of Uttar Pradesh on September 7 and 8. Scattered thunderstorms are forecast on September 9 and 10.
