The Meteorological Department has warned that on today, there may be heavy rain with lightning, thunder and strong winds on Tuesday. IMD has issued a yellow alert for many areas of Maharashtra including Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Palghar till Tuesday. After that, the weather in the state has been predicted by the department and the monsoon will go away.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that heavy rainfall is likely to continue over some parts of South Peninsular India during the next 5 days. The Meteorological Department also informed that a Cyclonic Circulation is likely to form over North Andaman Sea from Tuesday.
According to the weather department, “A cyclonic circulation is very likely to form over North Andaman Sea and neighborhood around 18 October 2022. It will move west-northwestwards towards west-central and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal will form a low pressure area around October 20, 2022,” the release said.
On October 19 and 20, there is a possibility of snowfall in the upper areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh and Uttarakhand. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light rain at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana for the next 2 days. However, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Assam.Indian Meteorological Department forecast predicts over South Interior Karnataka on 16th and 17th October, Coastal and North Interior Karnataka on 16th and Lakshadweep during 18-20 October.
According to the information, The temperature will start dropping in Delhi from the third week of October. By the end of the third week, the minimum temperature may reach 17 degree Celsius. The weather department also predicted Very heavy rainfall also likely over Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala,Tamil Nadu and Mahe on 20 October.
Moderate to heavy rainfall very likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands during 16–20 October. Moderate to heavy rainfalls very likely over Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa on 17 October. Dry weather very likely to prevail over most parts of Northwest & central India.
