In many states including Delhi, the temperature has been recorded around 5 degree Celsius. At the same time, the torture of fog continues in the Northeast. According to IMD, there will be fog and shivering cold in the northeastern states for the next 5 days.
On the other hand, according to Skymet Weather, during the last 24 hours, light to dense fog remained in the areas of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar. There was a slight drop in the minimum temperature in some areas of North India. On the other hand, cold wave conditions were observed in Punjab and Rajasthan.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for the states of North India. Cold wave conditions will prevail in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, Rajasthan for the next 5 days. On the other hand, there is a possibility of low visibility due to fog in these states. Due to this 21 Delhi-bound trains are running late today owing to the poor visibility in north India.
A chill was felt in Delhi on Monday morning. The minimum temperature was recorded at 7.6 degree Celsius. According to IMD, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 21 degree Celsius. The pollution level in the capital is bad. The air quality index was recorded at 312 at 8.30 am.
According to Skymet Weather, very dense fog is likely over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Bihari, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi in the next 24 hours. Cold wave conditions are possible in some areas of Punjab, Haryana and North Rajasthan. On the other hand, the weather will remain dry throughout the country. Rain may occur in parts of Andhra Pradesh and Coastal Tamil Nadu.
