IMD forecast alert heavy rainfall likely to continue over East and South Peninsular India ,Gujarat during the next 5 days, Northwest India next 5 days

In the next few days, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many parts of India. heavy rainfall is very likely to continue over Gujarat, East and South Peninsular India during the next 4 to 5 days. Light rain activity is expected to continue over plains of Northwest India during the next five days.

New Delhi: In the next few days, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many parts of India. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the low pressure area lies over west-central and adjoining north-west Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall is very likely to continue over Gujarat, East and South Peninsular India during the next 4 to 5 days. Light rain activity is expected to continue over plains of Northwest India during the next five days. There is no chance of rain in the capital Delhi and its adjoining areas at present.

According to the IMD, the process of humid summer will continue in Delhi. At the same time, there is no possibility of rain in most of the districts of UP including the capital Lucknow. On the other hand, there is a possibility of good rains in Bihar and Jharkhand for the next few days.

Heavy to very heavy rain is expected in most parts of North Bihar and moderate to moderate rain in South Bihar. The low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify further during the next 48 hours. Under its influence, heavy rains may occur in West Bengal and Jharkhand from September 11.

Heavy rain is expected in the southern states of the country. According to the IMD, heavy rainfall may occur over Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, North Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe on September 10 and 11. There is also a possibility of strong winds and lightning.

There is a possibility of widespread rainfall over Telangana and Coastal Karnataka between September 10 and 12. The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain in the western and eastern parts of the country. According to IMD, during September 10 to 13, there may be heavy rain with thundershowers in Gangetic West Bengal, Saurashtra and Kutch areas of Gujarat.

At the same time, there is a possibility of moderate to widespread rain in Vidarbha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Marathwada, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Konkan region, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra during September 11 to 13. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of very heavy rainfall in Odisha on September 10 and 11, in Gangetic West Bengal on September 11 and 12 and in Gujarat till September 13. Similar weather is likely over Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa during the next five days.

The IMD has said that there is a possibility of heavy rains in the next few days in the northeastern states including Assam, Meghalaya and Mizoram. During the next five days, there is a possibility of moderate to widespread rain with thunderstorms or lightning in Uttarakhand.
