IMD forecast predicts light rain and snowfall are possible in the Western Himalayas between February 26 and 28

New Delhi: According to the agency, between February 26 and 28, light rain and snowfall are possible in the Western Himalayas. The intensity of rain and snow will increase between March 1 and 3. Moderate to heavy rain and snowfall are likely at some places.

Maximum temperature is expected to increase by 2 to 3 degrees from February 26 in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan. As a result light rain may occur in some parts of Punjab and North Haryana on March 1 and 2. Similarly, the maximum temperature of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh may increase from February 27.

This time the summer season has started from February itself. The February heat in UP’s Banaras has broken a 40-year-old record. There, the temperature has crossed 35 degrees in February itself. People are saying that this time after winter it is not spring but straight hot summer has come. Due to the sudden increase in heat, there has been a big crisis for Rabi crops, especially wheat. Due to lack of sufficient cold, the yield of wheat is expected to decrease this year.

According to the scientists of the Meteorological Department, an increase of 5-7 degrees Celsius has been observed in the temperature in the month of February this year. This increase is dangerous for human health as well as crops. Wheat and mustard crops will be damaged due to this sudden heat (Weather Update Today). People are already getting sick from this scorching heat. While March has not even started yet.

If we talk about the weather movement in the last 24 hours, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya and sub-Himalayan West Bengal have received scattered light rains. While dense fog remained in some parts of Odisha. In Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, East Madhya Pradesh, West Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and Delhi, the maximum temperature was 5 degrees or more than normal.

Agricultural scientists say that it will be cold for a day or two due to this rain but it will not cause the arrival of winter again. Now people should assume that summer has arrived. Therefore, farmers have to water their crops from time to time to protect them from heat. Due to maintaining moisture in the soil, damage to crops will be reduced and production will be normal.
