IMD forecast predicts light rain with thunderstorm in these areas of Delhi-NCR today

New Delhi: Changes in the weather are being seen continuously in Delhi-NCR. According to the Meteorological Department, once again there is a change in the weather on Wednesday. Meanwhile, light rain may occur in many areas of Delhi again today. At the same time, air quality has been affected in the national capital due to dusty winds, due to which visibility has also reduced.

According to the latest information of the Meteorological Department, during the next few hours Delhi, North Delhi, North-East Delhi, North-West Delhi, West Delhi, Central Delhi, East Delhi and NCR (Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula) Sonepat, Rohtak, Kharkhoda (Haryana) Barot, Baghpat, Meerut, Modinagar, Garhmukteshwar, Hapur, Siyana, Secunderabad, Bulandshahr, Jahangirabad (UP) and adjoining areas may receive light to moderate rain. During this, strong winds will blow at a speed of 30-50 kmph.

According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in the capital Delhi may remain above 40 degrees till next week. Also told that at present there is no possibility of heat stroke. Due to increase in maximum temperature in Delhi, the heat wave condition has also intensified. On Monday (May 16) too, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 41.3 degree Celsius. Within five days, the maximum temperature of the capital has increased above 40 degree Celsius.

IMD Delhi regional head Kuldeep Srivastava said the heatwave conditions were less severe in the first fortnight of May due to western disturbances, which affected parts of northwest India. The next Western Disturbance is coming close to North-West India. Due to this, there is no heat wave condition for the next seven days, but the temperature will be as high as 40 degree Celsius.

He further said that dusty winds are blowing over the areas of Haryana, Delhi NCR, South Haryana, West UP and NE Rajasthan. The main reason for this is that a western disturbance has passed and strong winds are blowing. Due to this the temperature was very high last week. According to them the climate is dry and the soil has become loose due to the hot climate. That is why winds blowing at a speed of 40-45 kmph are picking up dust from the surface and spreading it in the atmosphere.
