IMD forecast predicts light to moderate rain alert in these states today, Know the weather conditions of Delhi

According to the Meteorological Department, light rain and drizzle are likely in North-West Delhi, South-West Delhi and Delhi-NCR in the next few hours. At the same time, moderate to heavy snowfall is expected over the mountains. In such a case, the temperature of the plains may drop again.

New Delhi: Today, the first day of March, has once again turned the tide between the hot and dry weather in February. The weather in Delhi-NCR is pleasant. Cold winds are blowing in the morning. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain and drizzle are likely in North-West Delhi, South-West Delhi and Delhi-NCR in the next few hours. At the same time, moderate to heavy snowfall is expected over the mountains. In such a case, the temperature of the plains may drop again.

According to IMD, Hindon Air Force Station, Ghaziabad, Indrapuram, Karnal, Rohtak, Hastinapur, Chandpur, Amroha and nearby areas are likely to experience light to moderate rain.

Heavy snowfall at one or two places with light to moderate rain and snowfall over Western Himalayas today i.e. March 1. Apart from this, light to very light rain may occur in Punjab, Haryana, north-west Rajasthan including Delhi NCR and north-west Uttar Pradesh.

Weather in Delhi

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday morning forecast thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain in Delhi and nearby areas for the next two hours. Rain is expected to lash parts of North-West Delhi, South-West Delhi and areas of Delhi-NCR.Talking about the minimum temperature, it can reach 14 degree Celsius but the maximum temperature can come down to 32 degree Celsius.

Weather in Uttar Pradesh

Talking about the weather of Uttar Pradesh, the sky will be clear in the capital Lucknow today (Wednesday) and no significant change in temperature is expected. The minimum temperature here can be recorded at 17 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature at 32 degree Celsius. Talking about Noida, which is adjacent to Delhi, the minimum temperature may be 16 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature may be 31 degrees Celsius and there is a possibility of light clouds.

Heavy snowfall expected in Uttarakhand

Meteorological department has issued yellow alert due to snowfall in Uttarakhand. Heavy rain is likely in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Rudraprayag and Dehradun. The Meteorological Department has expressed apprehension that light rain will continue in the plains as well. Weather Director Vikram Singh said that stormy winds may blow in the high areas of the state along with rain. The department has issued a weather alert especially on 01 and 02 March.

Rain in these areas too

Apart from this, snowfall is also expected in Jammu and Kashmir. Elsewhere in the country, scattered rain is possible over Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, South Tamil Nadu, parts of Kerala and southern parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
