New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department forecast predicted heavy rain is possible at one or two places with light to moderate rain in coastal Tamil Nadu in the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rains may also occur over Andaman-Nicobar Islands, interior parts of Tamil Nadu and South Kerala. Light rain may also occur in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and Assam.
According to the Skymet Weather forecast light rain and snowfall may be occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh in next 24 hours. Snowfall may also occur in the higher reaches of Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. The minimum temperature may drop by 2 to 3 degrees over entire northwest and central India.
After the rains on Sunday, a period of cold winds is going on in the whole of North India including Delhi-NCR. The Meteorological Department says that the period of severe cold has now passed and this tolerable cold will continue for a few days. During this, due to the cold winds, the night temperature will remain low. Talking about Delhi-NCR, this region will remain dry and will face dry cold.
According to the weather agency, a fresh western disturbance will reach the western Himalayas around February 2. Although this disturbance will not be very strong and it will not make much difference. Talking about Madhya Pradesh, the possibility of light rain has been expressed in some areas there. There are chances of light rain in the districts of Gwalior Chambal division today.
Drizzle with thunder has also been predicted in Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas, Mandsaur and Neemuch districts. Dense fog will remain in Gwalior and Datia including Chambal division. Moderate level of fog is expected in Balaghat, Chhatarpur and Tikamgarh districts. A drop will also be recorded in the minimum temperature of the night.
