IMD forecast predicts rain occur in 21 states including Delhi-NCR, UP today

New Delhi: Today, it may rain again with thunderstorm in Delhi-NCR. Rain has been recorded 1.8 mm in Delhi in the last 24 hours. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in Delhi on May 29 could be 35 degrees Celsius. IMD has expressed the possibility of thunderstorm and rain in Uttar Pradesh today. Today heavy rain is expected at some places in Rajasthan and Kerala.

New Delhi: Today, it may rain again with thunderstorm in Delhi-NCR. Rain has been recorded 1.8 mm in Delhi in the last 24 hours. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in Delhi on May 29 could be 35 degrees Celsius. On May 28, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 35.7 degrees Celsius. Which was 5 degree Celsius less than normal.

IMD has expressed the possibility of thunderstorm and rain in Uttar Pradesh today. Today heavy rain is expected at some places in Rajasthan and Kerala. IMD has predicted rain in 21 states including Delhi-NCR today.

IMD has also issued Orange Alert regarding thunderstorm, rain and hailstorm in Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and UP. IMD has predicted rain and hailstorm with lightning, squall (wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph) at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and West Rajasthan today has expressed.

According to IMD, there is a possibility of lightening, storm (wind speed 50-60 km per hour) and thunder in West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana today. There may be rain with lightning and thunderstorm in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh. Whereas Odisha, Vidarbha, Kerala and Mahe, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Chandigarh, Punjab, Gujarat, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Lakshadweep may receive rain with lightning, thunderstorm and lightning.

According to IMD, a new Western Disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India from May 29. While a cyclonic circulation lies over Southwest Rajasthan and a trough is running up to Madhya Pradesh in lower tropospheric levels. Due to their effect, the weather at these places may worsen for the next few days.

On the other hand, conditions are favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of South Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and Andaman and Nicobar Islands during next two days.
