IMD predicts light to moderate rains occur in these states including Odisha-UP next 2-3 days

The Indian Meteorological Department forecast predicts light to moderate rains will occur over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Coastal Karnataka in the next two to three days.

New Delhi: These days it is raining in most parts of India. Along with rain, hail is also falling in many places. At the same time, the period of snowfall continues in the hilly states. This change in the weather has brought relief to the people from the humid heat and scorching sun.

Due to the rain, there has been a huge drop in the temperature and the weather has become pleasant. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of rain in many parts of India for the next two to three days and there is a possibility of thunderstorms in some places.

The Indian Meteorological Department forecast predicts light to moderate rains will occur over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Coastal Karnataka in the next two to three days. Scattered rain and thundershowers very likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, North Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe.

There may be hailstorm at different places in Uttarakhand. Apart from this, there may be thunderstorms with heavy rains in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and South Interior Karnataka and snowfall is expected at some places over Ladakh.

The entire area in Uttarakhand’s Badridham is covered in a blanket of snow. Snowfall continues in most of the high altitude areas. Due to which it is getting very cold in these areas even in this summer season. At the same time, the maximum temperature can cross 40 degree Celsius at different places of West Rajasthan, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha and Gujarat.

However, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains accompanied by a storm at isolated places in the southeast peninsula between May 7 and 10. Anticipating the storm, the Meteorological Department has warned people in the southeast of the Bay of Bengal to return to safe places before May 7.
