IMD predicts rain occur in these 23 states including Delhi-NCR today, heatwave alert in 6 state

According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places in Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura today. Whereas Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya may receive heavy rains.

According to IMD, the very severe cyclonic storm Biparjoy over the East Central Arabian Sea has moved 6 km during the last 6 hours. per hour has moved almost to the north. It is located about 850 km west of Goa, 880 km south-west of Mumbai, 890 km south-southwest of Porbandar and 1170 km south of Karachi.

The storm will gradually intensify during next 24 hours and move north-northwestwards during next 3 days. IMD has warned fishermen to completely stop fishing for at least a week due to cyclonic storm Biparjoy. According to IMD, due to Cyclone Biperjoy, there is a possibility of wind speed of 145-155 kmph to 170 kmph in the Central Arabian Sea. Wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph very likely over South Arabian Sea. 35-45 km along the Goa-Maharashtra-Gujarat coasts. From speed per hour to 55 km.
