IMD predicts rain occur in these states in next few days, relief from heat wave in many parts of the country

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday said that heat wave conditions are unlikely to return to most parts of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, it may rain again from Friday in the North-West region.

New Delhi: Many states will get relief from the scorching heat at present. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday said that heat wave conditions are unlikely to return to most parts of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, it may rain again from Friday in the North-West region.

“Heavy conditions are not expected in most parts of the country for the next seven days,” the Met Office said. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department expressed the possibility of rain in the western Himalayan region and north-western plains from April 26 and 28 respectively.

The Meteorological Department said that hailstorm may occur in many parts of Telangana from April 24-26. While Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya are predicted to receive rain on April 28. Rain is predicted from April 25 to 27 in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh.

The private weather agency Skymet has also expressed a similar prediction and said that light to moderate rain may occur at one or two places in UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. South Chhattisgarh, parts of Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Gangetic West Bengal are also likely to receive rain during this period. Sikkim, Odisha and Rayalaseema may receive one or two moderate rains.

According to the Meteorological Department, light rain-snowfall is expected in the hilly areas on Tuesday as well. A yellow alert has been issued for heavy showers with lightning flashes. The IMD said that the maximum temperature on Sunday was between 36 and 39 degrees Celsius in North West, Central and East India. However, temperatures in other parts of the country remained between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius, while the Western Himalayan region recorded temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
