IMD predicts rainfall in these states including UP-Bihar today, heavy rain alert in Himachal

New Delhi: IMD has predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Telangana today. Once again rain havoc can be seen in Himachal Pradesh. Heavy rain warning has been issued in 10 districts of the state from August 21 to 23.

New Delhi: IMD has predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Telangana today. Once again rain havoc can be seen in Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has once again predicted heavy rains. Heavy rain warning has been issued in 10 districts of the state from August 21 to 23.

Due to heavy rains in Delhi-NCR this morning, the weather has become pleasant to a great extent and people have got some relief from the humid heat. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature is expected to be up to 35 degrees Celsius today. Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 37.4 degree Celsius on August 18, which was 4 degree Celsius more than normal.

According to Shimla Center of Meteorology, rain will continue in Himachal in the next 48 hours. But after 48 hours i.e. from August 21, rain will increase. During this, there may be heavy rains in the state from August 21. Which will continue till 24 August. The Meteorological Department said that there will be heavy rains in Shimla, Mandi, Kullu, Bilaspur, Solan, Chamba, Sirmaur, Una and Kangra.

According to IMD’s weather bulletin today, lightning occurred at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Karnataka. And it is also expected to rain with thunder.

The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of light rain in the rest of the country during the next 5 days. According to IMD, the western end of the Monsoon Trough is currently running close to the foothills of the Himalayas and its eastern end is running south of its normal position. From August 21, the eastern end is likely to move northwards from its normal position.

According to IMD, a low pressure area is present in and around North Odisha. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards over North Chhattisgarh during next 2-3 days. At the same time, a Western Disturbance is moving in the form of a trough in the mid-tropospheric westerly winds. Hot and humid weather is likely to prevail over Tamil Nadu during next 2 days.

IMD said that today, 45-55 km over west central and adjoining east central, southwest and northwest Arabian Sea, Comorin area and close to and adjoining north Tamil Nadu coast. From per hour to 65 km. There is a possibility of wind blowing at a high speed per hour. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into these areas.
