IMD rain alert for these states including UP-Delhi for next few days amid rain, thunderstorm

Monsoon Update: The India Meteorological Department has predicted rain with thunderstorms for the next few days in many states including Delhi-NCR.

New Delhi: In many districts of UP, Rajasthan including Delhi-NCR, there was a dust storm along with strong wind gusts on Saturday. It rained heavily in the country’s capital in the morning. It was dark because of the thick clouds. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) told that due to the moisture coming from the Arabian Sea, similar weather will prevail in North West India for the next 4-5 days. During this, there is a possibility of strong thunderstorms and rain. In view of this, IMD has issued Orange Alert for Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and North-East Rajasthan.

Heavy rain occurred at many places in the eastern part of Rajasthan, while light to moderate rain accompanied by strong winds was recorded at isolated places in the state in the last 24 hours. According to the Disaster Relief and Management Department, a total of 13 people have died due to rain and storm in the state in the last 2 days. 10 deaths were recorded in Tonk and one death each in Alwar, Jaipur and Bikaner.

In view of the storm, the department has issued an orange alert. The IMD has predicted the maximum and minimum temperatures to be above normal in most parts of Rajasthan in June.

Thunderstorm warning in Delhi-NCR
The Meteorological Department has said that there are chances of thunderstorms with gusty winds in the Delhi-NCR region on Monday. Apart from this, there may be lightening and moderate rain. The Meteorological Department says that winds of 40 to 70 kilometers per hour will blow in Delhi and surrounding areas. Due to Western Disturbance, the weather of Delhi-NCR is constantly changing.

Talking about the forecast of the Meteorological Department, on June 1, the monsoon knocks in Kerala. But this time on June 4-5, Monsoon onset Kerala will enter Kerala. The department has predicted a delay of 4 days in the arrival of the southwest monsoon in Kerala. Although every year the monsoon arrives in Andaman and Nicobar on May 22, but this time it arrived three days earlier i.e. on May 19. But for the last one week he is stuck at the same place.
