IMD: Rain continues to lash UP, heavy downpour in 47 districts including Lucknow-Noida, know full forecast here

UP Weather: According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Jalaun, Jhansi and its surrounding districts.

Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, the period of rain is continuing for the last two days. The Meteorological Department has predicted it to continue for the next two days. According to the forecast issued by the department, about 50 out of 75 districts of the state may receive rain and thundershowers. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in nine districts of the state. On Sunday, the highest rainfall of 145 mm in the state was recorded in Sambhal district.

In view of the rain, the districts of Lucknow, Noida, Ghaziabad, Unnao, Kanpur, Hapur, Sitapur, Bahraich, Lakhimpur, Aligarh, Bareilly, Sambhal, Kasganj, Meerut (Meerut) Schools have been closed in Mathura, Moradabad, Shamli, Auraiya, Agra and Bulandshahr districts.

As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), Uttar Pradesh recorded an average of 22.5 mm rainfall on Sunday, which is 2396 per cent more than the ‘long period average’ (LPA) for the day.

Heavy rain alert in these districts
According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Chandauli, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur City, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, The adjoining areas of Sambhal, Badaun, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur may receive rain and thundershower activities.

According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, out of these, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Jalaun, Jhansi and its adjoining districts. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum rainfall of 145 mm was recorded in Sambhal district on Sunday. Apart from this, 95.7 mm of rain was recorded in Etah and 93.5 mm in Bareilly. At the same time, 1.4 mm of rain was recorded in the capital Lucknow.
