IMD sounded “Heavy Rain Alert” in these states, orange for Odisha; Check full forecast here

New Delhi: The weather is clear in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Delhi-NCR this morning. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will remain cloudy today and there may be light to moderate rain. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Western UP and Haryana-Punjab during the next 24 hours. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Uttarakhand till July 23. Apart from this, there is also a rain alert in Odisha, Bihar and West Bengal and Sikkim.

On July 23, Jharkhand may receive heavy rains, while from July 22 to 24, there is a possibility of heavy rain at different places in Odisha.

Heavy rain warning and Orange alert in Odisha
According to the language, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Center has issued an ‘Orange Alert’ for heavy to very heavy rain at some places in Boudh, Balangir, Bargarh, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal and Kalahandi districts on Friday. The Meteorological Center has predicted rain in some areas of Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Angul and Subarnapur on Saturday. According to the bulletin, heavy to very heavy rains are also expected in Sambalpur, Deogarh, Bargarh, Jharsuguda and Sundergarh on Sunday.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in Delhi-NCR today. The Meteorological Department said that during the next two hours, there will be light to moderate rain in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Chhapraula. On the other hand, there will be rain in Barwala, Hansi, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri and Mahendragarh in Haryana.

Heavy rainfall in Rajasthan
Several parts of Rajasthan witnessed heavy to extremely heavy rains, with Deegod in Kota receiving a maximum of 16 cm rains, officials said. A few places in eastern Rajasthan recorded extremely heavy showers, while some parts of western Rajasthan recorded heavy rains.

At the same time, there will be strong rain with winds in Chandpur, Modinagar, Khair, Iglash, Hathras, Mathura, Tundla, Firozabad, Sikohabad. Along with this, there is a possibility of rain in many areas including Rajgarh in Rajasthan today. It is cloudy in these areas. There is a chance of rain during the next two hours.

The Regional Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain with thundershowers at one or two places of Chhattisgarh today. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Central and North Chhattisgarh. Light to moderate rain will occur in most places of the state including Raipur. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in Chhattisgarh till July 23.
