In a big move against corruption, U’khand govt has suspended IAS officer over graft charges

Dehradun: U’khand govt’s big action on corruption, Ram Bilas Yadav, an IAS officer facing Vigilance investigation in the case of disproportionate assets and Additional Secretary in the Uttarakhand government, has been suspended by the government. IAS Rambilas Yadav came to Uttarakhand from Uttar Pradesh in 2019.

Vigilance probe was going on against him in the disproportionate assets case in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh transferred this investigation to Uttarakhand. On this, the government had ordered an open inquiry against him in Vigilance on January 9, 2019.

The decision to suspend the IAS officer was taken after Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed the officers to take strict action against him on Wednesday.

IAS Yadav is being questioned today
IAS Ram Bilas Yadav is being questioned today in the case of acquiring disproportionate assets. Police force has been deployed at both the gates of Vigilance. Only authorized people are being allowed to give inside. Vigilance officers are continuously interrogating Rambilas Yadav. Yadav’s lawyers are also waiting for him outside the gate.

IAS Yadav was ordered to record his statement before the investigator
Last day, the High Court heard the petition filed for a stay on the arrest of Ram Bilas Yadav, Additional Secretary Social Welfare and former Secretary of Lucknow Development Authority, trapped in the disproportionate assets case.

The court has asked the petitioner Yadav to appear before the Vigilance investigator at 12.30 pm on Wednesday, record the statement and cooperate in the investigation. The court, while ordering the government to clarify the position in the matter, fixed the next hearing for June 23.

Vigilance made a list of 70 questions for Yadav’s interrogation
IAS officer Ram Bilas Yadav’s troubles have increased in the disproportionate assets case. He has to appear before the Vigilance on Wednesday on the orders of the High Court. In such a situation, Vigilance has prepared a list of 70 questions to surround them. He was constantly avoiding to appear before the Vigilance.
