New Delhi: Team India has suffered a major setback before the second Test match against England to be held on the historic ground of Lord’s from tomorrow i.e. 12 August. Actually, it is difficult for India’s fast bowler Shardul Thakur to play in the second test match. Shardul Thakur is suffering from hamstring problem. In such a situation, he can also be out of the second Test.

Big blow to Team India

According to ‘Inside Sport’, if Shardul Thakur does not play, fast bowler Ishant Sharma can get a chance in his place. Virat Kohli has already made it clear that India will play with 4 fast bowlers in the series. In such a situation, Ishant Sharma has been entered in the playing XI in place of Shardul Thakur.

Difficult to play this star bowler

The exit of Shardul Thakur can prove to be a big setback for Team India, as he is an expert in batting as well as bowling. He has also shown its trailer on Australia tour. Shardul Thakur bowled well in the drawn first Test against England. Shardul Thakur took four wickets in both the innings.

Amazing in the first test

Shardul Thakur responded to the critics in the first Test match by dismissing England captain Joe Root in the first innings. Shardul Thakur played well with Mohammed Shami, Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah in this match. The first Test match played in Nottingham was drawn due to rain. The five-match Test series is currently tied at 0-0. India would like to take a 1-0 lead by winning the second Test at Lord’s.

England also got a big blow

England’s star bowler Stuart Broad has been injured. Stuart Broad’s shin is twisted during training. They will be scanned on Wednesday and only after that a decision will be taken. Stuart Broad might be out of the remaining 4 matches of the series. The Lord’s Test was to be the 150th Test match of Broad’s career, but now it seems that he will have to wait for it. Mark Wood could be given a chance in the playing XI if Broad is out.
