India Women vs England Women 3rd ODI: India won the three-match series against England 3-0.

New Delhi: Despite a struggling 47 runs from lower-order batsman Charlie Dean, Renuka Singh’s brilliant four-wicket haul and Deepti Sharma’s all-round performance helped Team India win the series by 16 runs in the third ODI. But captured 3-0. With this spectacular victory at Lord’s ground, India bid farewell to veteran fast bowler Jhulan Goswami from international cricket.

Earlier, the Indian women’s team was reduced to just 169 runs in the third and final one-day international against England on Saturday. India have taken a 2-0 lead in the series by winning the first two matches of the three-match series. All-rounder Deepti Sharma scored the highest 68 runs in 106 balls for India. Opener Smriti Mandhana also scored 50 runs in 79 balls. Apart from these two, only Pooja Vastrakar (22) could reach double digits.

Electing to bat after losing the toss, the Indian team lost wickets at Lord’s at regular intervals and the entire team was piled up in 45.4 overs. This is veteran fast bowler Jhulan Goswami’s last international match. Fast bowler Kate Cross performed brilliantly for England, taking four wickets for 26 runs. Freya Camp (2 for 24) and Sophie Ecclestone (2 for 27) also took two wickets each.
