IND vs SA: Washington Sundar got a chance in place of injured Deepak Chahar in Team India, BCCI announced

New Delhi: Team India's fast bowler Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the ongoing ODI series against South Africa due to injury. India has included Washington Sundar in the team in his place. Chahar was injured in the last match of the T20 series between India and South Africa played in Indore. After this, he did not play in the first match of the ODI series and is now out of the entire series.

New Delhi: Team India’s fast bowler Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the ongoing ODI series against South Africa due to injury. India has included 22-year-old Washington Sundar in the team in his place. Chahar was injured in the last match of the T20 series between India and South Africa played in Indore. After this, he did not play in the first match of the ODI series and is now out of the entire series. Sundar’s performance so far has been impressive. For this reason he was included in Team India.

The BCCI announced the replacement of Deepak Chahar via Twitter. The board wrote in a tweet that Washington Sundar has been included in place of Deepak Chahar in the ODI team. The board told on its website that Deepak got injured during the last match of the T20 series played between India and South Africa in Indore. For this reason, he was kept out of the playing XI of the first match of the ODI series. This match was played in Lucknow.

Significantly, the first match of the ODI series between India and South Africa was played in Lucknow. In this, India had to face defeat by 9 runs. Now the next match will be played in Ranchi on 9 October. Whereas the last match of the series will be held in Delhi on October 11.

India ODI squad: Shikhar Dhawan (capt), Rituraj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer (vice-captain), Rajat Patidar, Rahul Tripathi, Ishan Kishan (wk), Sanju Samson (wk), Shahbaz Ahmed, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan, Mohammad Siraj, Washington Sundar.
