New Delhi : On August 15, the country will celebrate its 77th Independence Day. The whole country is preparing for this great festival. Programs will be organized across the country. The main program will be held in the country’s capital Delhi, where the Prime Minister of the country will hoist the tricolor flag on the ramparts of the Red Fort and address the nation. During this, a parade will also be taken out, for which full dress rehearsal is being held today on 13th August. Delhi Police has done traffic diversion for full dress rehearsal.

Avoid these routes

The traffic police has advised the motorists that in view of the rehearsal, the vehicles which do not have the special label should not use C-Hexagon, India Gate, Copernicus Marg, Mandi House, Sikandra Road, W Point, A Point, Tilak Marg, Mathura Road, BSZ Marg. , Netaji Subhash Marg, JL Nehru Marg, Ring Road between Nizamuddin Khatta and ISBT Kashmiri Gate and Outer Ring Road from Nizamuddin Khatta to ISBT Kashmiri Gate via Salim Garh Bypass.

People traveling from North Delhi to South Delhi can use alternate routes of Aurobindo Marg, Safdarjung Road, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Kautilya Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, Park Street, Mandir Marg and Rani Jhansi Road to reach the destination. On the other hand, alternative routes can be used for movement in the east-west corridor, NH-24, Nizamuddin Khatta, Barapula Road-under AIIMS flyover, Ring Road, Mathura Road, Subramaniam Bharti Marg, Rajesh Pilot Marg, Prithviraj Road, Safdarjung Road etc. Are. Buses and heavy vehicles will remain closed on these routes

In the traffic advisory of the police, it was said that the movement of goods vehicles between Nizamuddin and Wazirabad bridges will be prohibited from the midnight of 12 August till 11 am of 13 August. Interstate buses will also not be allowed to operate between Maharana Pratap ISBT and Sarai Kale Khan ISBT during this period. It said that all city buses, including those operated by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), will ply between Ring Road and ISBT to NH-24 (NH-9)/NH T-Point from midnight of August 12 to 11 am of August 13. Metro will run from 5 am for Independence Day celebrations

In view of Independence Day celebrations, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has changed the timing of trains. On Tuesday, for the convenience of passengers, Metro will be available on all lines from 5 am. Metro will be available on all lines at an interval of 30 minutes till 6 am. After 6 am, the metro will be available throughout the day as per the normal timetable. Apart from this, in view of security measures, parking facility will not be available at metro stations from 6 am on Monday to 2 pm on Tuesday.
