Independence Day: PM Modi presents the vision for the next 25 yrs from the ramparts of the Red Fort

New Delhi: Today is the 75th Independence Day of the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort, talked about India becoming stronger amidst the current challenges of the world. The Prime Minister began his speech by paying tribute to the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the freedom of the country.

‘Salute to freedom fighters’

PM hoisted the tricolor for the 8th time today from the ramparts of the Red Fort. In his address, the PM said that countless heroes have sacrificed their lives for the Independence Day. At the same time, in his address to the countrymen, the Prime Minister also presented the vision of the next 25 years of New India.

Sieves the pain of partition: PM

PM Modi said that we celebrate independence, but the pain of partition still pierces the chest of India. It is one of the biggest tragedy of the last century. The country has taken an emotional decision only yesterday. From now on August 14 will be remembered as Partition Vibhishika Memorial Day.

‘Honor of the Medalists’

The PM said in his speech that the athletes who have made us proud in the Olympics are here with us today. I urge the nation to appreciate his achievement today. He has not only won our hearts but also inspired generations to come.

‘Worship of Corona Warriors’

Referring to the Corona global epidemic in his speech, the PM praised the role of the frontline workers of the country. He said, ‘Our doctors, our nurses, our paramedical staff, scavengers, scientists engaged in making vaccines, citizens engaged in service, they all deserve to be worshipped.’

Target for next 25 years

The PM said that the journey of the next 25 years starting from here is the nectar of creation of a new India. The fulfillment of our resolves in this nectar period will take us till 100 years of independence.

‘Sabka Saath – Sabka Vikas – Sabka Vishwas – Everyone’s Efforts’

PM Modi said, ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas, with this reverence we are all engaged. Today, from the Red Fort, I am calling – Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas – Sabka Vishwas and now everyone’s efforts are very important for the achievement of our goals.

‘Small farmers are the pride of the country’

Referring to the farmers, PM Modi said, ‘The land of the farmers is getting smaller. 80% of the farmers of the country have less than 2 hectares of land. 80 out of 100 farmers have less land. That is, the farmer is in a way a small farmer. In the policies that were made earlier in the country, the policies that should have been made on small farmers, the focus that should have been on them, did not happen.

PM also said that small farmer should become the pride of the country, this is our dream. In the coming years, we will have to increase the collective power of the small farmers of the country. They have to be given new facilities. The PM said that there are more than 8 crore sisters who are associated with our self-help group in the village, they make more than one product. Now the government will prepare an e-commerce platform for their products to get a big market in the country and abroad.
