“On the sidelines of the 9th India-US EFP meeting, “@nsitharaman and @SecYellen will also engage in a Roundtable Conversation on India-US Business and Economic Opportunities with top Business Leaders and notable economists, another tweet stated.

Yellen claimed in an interview that India will “benefit” from the proposed restriction on oil prices; he further added that the United States does not want Russia to “profit excessively” from the conflict by taking advantage of prices that are essentially very high as a result of their invasion of Ukraine.

Developing nations like India and China have been buying more and more heavily discounted Russian oil as global energy costs stay high and Western nations try to reduce their dependency on Russian energy,

“We want Russian oil to stay on the market and supply markets around the world.” But I never want to allow Russia to profit unduly from the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The price of oil and other commodities in the international market is high due to war.
