New Delhi: On Monday, a good news for Maruti Suzuki car lover. Maruti Suzuki has launched its 2022 new S-Presso in India with New K-Series 1.0L Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine with Idle-Start-Stop Technology and and also offers enhanced fuel-efficiency of 25.30 Kmpl in Vxi (O)/ Vxi+ (O) AGS, 24.76 kmpl in Vxi/ Vxi+ MT and 24.12 kmpl in Std/ Lxi MT variants. The new S-Presso is available in a wide array of color options.
The new model is available in 4 trim levels – Std, LXi, Vxi and Vxi – priced between Rs 4.25 lakh and Rs 5.99 lakh. It also comes with new safety features, which were missing in the previous model. No changes have been made to the design of the vehicle.
The new S-Presso is powered by the Next Gen K-Series 1.0L Dual Jet, Dual VVT petrol engine with Idle Start-Stop technology. It delivers 66 HP @ 5500 rpm of power and 89 Nm @ 3500 rpm of torque. Like before, there will be a 5MT and AMT gearbox on offer. The AGS is offered on the top-spec Vxi and Vxi+ variants.
Inside the cabin, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso continues to get steering mounted controls, SmartPlay studio infotainment system among others and is based on the company’s Heart Tech platform. The 2022 Maruti S-Presso AGS is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 25.30kmpl, while the manual version is claimed to offer 24.76kmpl. In terms of proportions, the S-Presso is 3,565mm long, 1,567mm tall and 1,520mm wide.
2022 Maruti Suzuki new S-Presso AGS variants now comes equipped with ESP (Electronic Stability Program) with hill hold assist. The Vxi and VXi+ trims gets electrically adjustable ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors). The vehicle comes fitted with dual airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), pre-tensioner and force limiter front seatbelts with front seatbelt reminder, high-speed alert system, reverse parking sensors standard in all variants.
The AGS variants have an electronic stability program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist. The hatchback comes with steering mounted audio and voice console, twin chamber headlamps, and dynamic centre console wit Smart Play studio. It is based on Suzuki’s lightweight Heartect platform that underpins the Celerio and the Wagon R. The bold SUVish exterior design of the new S-Presso with commanding drive view, dynamic center console, large cabin space and high ground clearance bring comfort and convenience during driving.
