India records 2,995 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, active cases reached at 16,354

According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health, 2,994 new cases of corona infection have been registered in the last 24 hours. Including new cases, there are currently 16,354 patients of Corona in the country. At the same time, the daily positivity rate is 2.09 percent and the weekly positivity rate is 2.03 percent. 1,840 people have recovered in the last 24 hours in the country, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,41,71,551

New Delhi: The speed of spread of corona virus infection in the country has once again raised the concern. Hundreds of new cases are coming up every day, which has caught the attention of the common people as well as the governments. According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health, 2,994 new cases of corona infection have been registered in the last 24 hours.

Including new cases, there are currently 16,354 patients of Corona in the country. At the same time, the daily positivity rate is 2.09 percent and the weekly positivity rate is 2.03 percent. 1,840 people have recovered in the last 24 hours in the country, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,41,71,551.

Active cases as a proportion of the total population are 0.04 percent. The recovery rate is currently 98.77 percent. 1,43,364 tests have been done in the last 24 hours and a total of 92.16 crore tests have been done so far to detect new cases of Corona.

At the same time, 9,981 doses of vaccine have been given in the last 24 hours to protect people from corona infection. While a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses (95.21 crore second dose and 22.86 crore precautionary dose) have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
