India reports 1,134 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, active cases crosses 7,000 mark

New Delhi: The increase in the cases of corona in the country has increased the concern. In the last 24 hours, more than 1100 cases of Covid-19 were registered in India. In the last 24 hours, 1134 new cases of Covid-19 have been registered in the country.

New Delhi: The increase in the cases of corona in the country has increased the concern. In the last 24 hours, more than 1100 cases of Covid-19 were registered in India. In the last 24 hours, 1134 new cases of Covid-19 have been registered in the country.

The daily positive rate is currently 1.09% while the weekly positive rate is 0.98%. With this, the number of active cases of corona in the country is currently 7,026. The rate of active cases is currently 0.01%. The death toll climbed to 5,30,813 with five deaths with one each reported by Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat and Maharashtra and one reconciled by Kerala, the data updated at 8 am stated.

Talking about the recovered patients, 662 corona patients have also recovered in the last 24 hours, with this the total number of people recovering from corona has reached 4,41,60,2794. The recovery rate is currently 98.79%.

In the last 24 hours, 1,03,831 tests of Korana were done in the country, including this, 92.05 crore tests have been done so far. A total of 220.65 crore (95.20 crore second and 22.86 crore first dose) vaccine doses have been given in the country so far. 7,673 doses were given in the last 24 hours. Significantly, on Tuesday, 699 new cases of corona were registered in the country.

In view of the increase in corona cases in the country, the Union Health Secretary has written to Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka in the past, asking them to lay emphasis on testing, treatment, tracking and vaccination. In its letter written to six states, the Health Ministry had said that there are some states where more number of cases are coming up. This is indicating a possible local spread of the infection.
