New Delhi: India has once again seen a surge in corona cases. According to the latest figures of the Union Health Ministry, on Sunday (March 12), 524 cases of corona were registered across the country. Such a high number of cases have been reported after 113 days. The number of active cases has now increased to 3,618.
The Health Ministry said that one patient died of corona in Kerala, after which the total death toll has increased to 5,30,781. The total number of cases of infection has increased to 4.46 crore (4,46,90,492). 98.80 percent people have recovered from Corona. The number of people recovering from this disease has increased to 4,41,56,093 while the death rate has been recorded at 1.19 percent.
Center expressed concern over increasing cases
According to the website of the Union Ministry of Health, 220.64 crore doses have been given so far under the nationwide Corona Vaccine campaign. The Center on Saturday expressed concern over the gradual increase in the Corona Positivity Rate in some states and said that it needs to be controlled immediately. The administration has already been asked to be on alert.
Appeal to the health department of the center
In a letter to the states and union territories, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan requested the health department to take stock of the preparedness of the hospitals. The availability of medicines and medical oxygen, and increasing vaccination against Kovid-19 and influenza were also emphasized. The Health Secretary said that there is a great need to be alert and test. He said that try to do every measure to prevent Corona.
