India Thrash New Zealand By 168 Runs in 3rd T20I , Secure Series 2-1 at home

Shubman Gill smashed his maiden T20I century as Team India finished at 234/4 in 20 overs against New Zealand. Gill remained unbeaten at 126* off 63 balls and Rahul Tripathi also smashed 44 off 22 balls. The day belonged to Shubman Gill who became just the 5th Indian batter to score centuries in all formats of the game. After two difficult surfaces in Ranchi and Lucknow, this was a belter and the crowd were in for a treat.

Daryl Mitchell bowled an excellent last over to concede just six – it was one of only three overs in the innings without a boundary. Gill and Pandya added 103 in just 40 balls. New Zealand now needed all the flatness of the pitch and the dew if they were to challenge the total.

Chasing a mammoth 234, NZ crumbled within the powerplay. Suryakumar Yadav took two screamers at slip as Pandya picked up two early wickets, while Arshdeep added a couple more from the other end. NZ never got going after that early jolt, as Umran Malik and Shivam Mavi picked up two apiece, while Pandya returned to add two more.

Thumping 168-run victory over New Zealand in the third and final T20I match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. India have already defeated New Zealand by a margin of 3-0 in the ODI series.

A huge loss for the Kiwis, and India’s biggest ever win in T20Is. Infact this is the biggest margin of victory in a game played between two full member nations
