India vs Eng: India record its biggest Test win by runs, defeat England by 434 runs

Mumbai: On Sunday, The Indian cricket team created history as it secured its largest victory in Test cricket. India defeated England by whopping 434 runs to take a strong lead against the hosts at Rajkot. The previous best win margin for India in Test was the 372-run win it secured against New Zealand at the Wankhede in 2021.

Mumbai: On Sunday, The Indian cricket team created history as it secured its largest victory in Test cricket. India defeated England by whopping 434 runs to take a strong lead against the hosts at Rajkot.

The previous best win margin for India in Test was the 372-run win it secured against New Zealand at the Wankhede in 2021. Skipper Rohit Sharma (131 & 19) and Ravindra Jadeja (112) slammed beautiful centuries to lay strong foundations of India’s innings.

While young Yashasvi Jaiswal’s terrific double century placed India in a strong position.India win against England was built around a solid team performance, with the batting unit recording 400+ totals in both the innings.

The Indian bowlers were at their vicious best in the final innings, bowling Ben Stokes’ men out for 122. In the Indian second innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal was the star of the show with the bat, with the left-handed batter breaking a flurry of records as he scored a second double hundred of his Test career.

Skipper Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja had earlier laid the foundation with hundreds in the first innings. England started horribly in the chase with first innings’ centurion Ben Duckett being first one to go, thanks to a quick run-out by Mohammed Siraj and Dhruv Jurel.

Jasprit Bumrah then trapped Zak Crawley LBW as England went to tea at 18/2. Jadeja took a fifer in final innings to go along with his ton, the second time he has done both in a single Test. Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav were the pick of the bowlers for India in the first innings, with the former claiming four wickets.
