New Delhi: In yet another incident reported in which fire caught to the Indian Navy’s aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya. This is third fire incident happened in INS Vikramaditya carrier. A fire broke out in the Karwar port of Karnataka in the aircraft carrier, which was brought under control by the crew members in time. A member of the staff on duty on the ship noticed smoke coming out and immediately informed the authorities. The part of the ship where the fire broke out has soldiers’ residences. No casualties have been reported in this incident. The Indian Navy has given information about this. A board has been constituted to investigate the matter, which will investigate the matter and submit a report.

According to the Indian Navy, INS Vikramaditya caught fire during the trial at sea. The crew members present in the aircraft carrier extinguished the fire somehow with the fire fighting equipment present in the ship. According to the Navy, there is no report of any casualty in this incident. The Navy has ordered a Court of Inquiry to investigate the matter.

According to the information, Vikramaditya was recently refitted at Karwar Naval Base. Only after the refit was the aircraft carrier taken to sea for sortie.
Incident of third fire on Vikramaditya
This is the third fire incident on Vikramaditya in the last three years. In the year 2019, a lieutenant commander rank officer was killed in a fire. A minor fire incident was also reported in 2021.
India bought Vikramaditya from Russia in the year 2013. In the Russian Navy it was known as Admiral Gorshokov. The Indian Navy currently has only one aircraft carrier. But next month the indigenous aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant, will also become part of the Indian Navy’s combat fleet. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself had announced this in the Navy program on Monday.
