Indian Navy sailor commits suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle during his deputation on a naval ship

A 25-year-old Indian Navy sailor allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself using his service rifle while on deputation onboard a naval ship yesterday. Mumbai Police gave this information.

Mumbai: A 25-year-old Indian Navy sailor allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself using his service rifle during his deputation on a naval ship yesterday. Accidental death report has been registered. The investigation is on. The Indian Navy says that it has ordered an inquiry into the incident. Mumbai Police has given this information.

According to reports, the 25-year-old sailor who died shot himself with his service rifle while on deputation on a naval ship on Saturday. Allegedly the matter of this suicide was informed to the Mumbai Police. According to the news, the Indian Navy has filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR) in this matter.

The incident happened on Saturday afternoon. Police have taken the body in possession and sent it for post-mortem. Colaba police is probing the case under ADR. Police said that the sailor was on duty when he committed suicide. The reasons for the suicide are not yet known.
