Indian Railways to run 491 trips of 196 special trains during Holi 2023

On the occasion of Holi, Indian Railways is running 196 special trains (Holi Special Trains) to control overcrowding in trains and provide better travel experience to people. These 196 special trains run by the Indian Railways will make a total of 491 trips and will reach the major cities of the country.

New Delhi: On the occasion of Holi, Indian Railways is running 196 special trains (Holi Special Trains) to control overcrowding in trains and provide better travel experience to people. So that passengers can also get confirmed seats. The Ministry of Railways, while giving information on the Press Information Bureau, said that keeping in mind the festive season of Holi, the Railways has run 196 special trains.

These 196 special trains run by the Indian Railways will make a total of 491 trips and will reach the major cities of the country. Many trains departing from metro cities like Delhi-Mumbai will go to cities of other states including UP-Bihar. During this time, special arrangements have been made to control crowd at major stations and priority is being given to related management.

Special trains from Delhi-Mumbai to these cities Indian Railways has planned to run special trains to connect the important railway routes of the country. These include Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa, Gorakhpur-Mumbai, Kolkata-Puri, Guwahati-Ranchi, New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Jaipur-Bandra Terminus, Pune-Danapur etc. Special vehicles are included.

Special arrangements are also being made at the railway station. Apart from this, crowd control measures are being ensured by queuing up at terminus stations under the supervision of RPF employees for orderly entry of passengers in unreserved coaches. Additional RPF jawans have been deployed at major stations to ensure the safety of passengers. Officials have been deployed on emergency duty at major stations for smooth operation of trains.
