Indian wrestlers announce to end protest against WFI chief Bhushan, say will fight in court

New Delhi: Wrestlers Protest A day after warning former Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh to take to the streets again, the protesting wrestlers announced that the fight against Brij Bhushan would no longer be fought on the streets, but in the courts.

New Delhi: Wrestlers Protest a day after warning former Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh to take to the streets again, the protesting wrestlers announced that the fight against Brij Bhushan would no longer be fought on the streets, but in the courts.

Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia tweeted in unison on Sunday that the government has fulfilled its promise to file a charge sheet against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. He tweeted that the wrestlers will not stop till justice is done, but now the fight will not be on the street but in the court.

Wrestlers further said that the election process has started as promised regarding the reforms in WFI. We will wait for the fulfillment of the promises made by the government regarding the July 11 elections.

Minutes after posting the statement on Twitter, Vinesh and Sakshi tweeted that they were taking a break from internet media for a few days.
