New Delhi: Saudi Arabia has come forward to help the Indians trapped in Sudan. 150 citizens of 12 countries have been brought from conflict-affected Sudan to Saudi Arabia, including some Indians. A ship carrying Saudi and other citizens reached Jeddah today. Earlier, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had held talks with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on Tuesday regarding the evacuation of Indians from Sudan. The Saudi Foreign Ministry tweeted that we are happy to inform that, following the instructions of the Kingdom leadership, we have been able to safely evacuate Saudi citizens from Sudan as well as citizens of other friendly countries. These include diplomats and international officials.
