New Delhi: Team India has suffered a major setback just before the Asia Cup 2022. Head coach Rahul Dravid has been hit by the corona virus. It is being told that she will not go to UAE. He was not seen when the team left for Dubai on Tuesday morning. Asia Cup 2022 is starting on 27th August but India has to play its first match on 28th against the Indian team captained by Babar Azam.

The information about when Dravid has come under the grip of corona virus is not yet available. When he did not leave for UAE with the team on Tuesday morning, questions were raised about it. During this it was learned that Dravid has been hit by the corona virus. Looking at the team’s preparations in this big tournament, this is a bad news because India’s first challenge in the Asia Cup is against Pakistan. There is a lot of pressure from the fans during this high voltage match. In such a situation, the presence of Dravid would have been very important for the team.

VVS Laxman can get big responsibility
In the absence of Rahul Dravid, the President of the National Cricket Academy, VVS Laxman, may get the responsibility of acting head coach in the UAE. Laxman has done this for India on many occasions in the past as well. On the Zimbabwe tour, the Indian team is playing under the coaching of VVS Laxman. He had earlier accompanied the youth team to Ireland as the acting head coach.
