India’s new Parliament building likely to be inaugurated by month end

There will be a new dress for marshals and employees for this new parliament building. This new uniform has been designed by NIFT. Along with this, strict security arrangements have been made here.

New Delhi: On the occasion of the completion of nine years of the Modi government, the new Parliament House can be inaugurated with a grand event. PM Modi can inaugurate it in the last week of May, although it has not been officially confirmed yet. In fact, on 26 May 2014, PM Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister. There will be a new dress for marshals and employees for this new parliament building. This new uniform has been designed by NIFT. Along with this, strict security arrangements have been made here. Seating arrangements have been made for 1224 MPs in the four-storey Parliament House.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the new Parliament House on 10 December 2020 in a program in New Delhi. The central government launched the Central Vista redevelopment project in 2019, which includes the construction of a new parliament building, along with other projects in New Delhi.

The plan of the Lok Sabha floor in the New Parliament Building has been kept on the theme of the national bird peacock. The new building is 17,000 square meters larger than the old Parliament House. This building is completely earthquake resistant, designed by ‘HCP Design, Planning and Management Private Limited’. Its architect is Bimal Patel.

The new building of Parliament has the facility of seating more than 1200 MPs at a time. In this, 888 MPs can sit in Lok Sabha and 384 MPs can sit in Rajya Sabha. A beautiful constitution room has also been constructed in the new building. It is just a short distance from Rashtrapati Bhavan. Lounge, library, committee hall, canteen and parking facilities have also been provided in the four-storey new parliament building built under the Central Vista Redevelopment Project.
