Assam: An IndiGo 6E757 flight from Jorhat in Assam to Kolkata was canceled on Thursday. The plane skidded off the runway during take-off and its wheels got stuck in the muddy ground. The plane stood for a long time. Later the flight was cancelled.
An Indigo 6E757 flight operating on the Jorhat-Kolkata route was canceled after being grounded for several hours at Jorhat due to a “technical issue”, an Airports Authority of India (AAI) official said. A local journalist uploaded a picture on Twitter showing an aircraft, which apparently skidded off the runway and one pair of wheels got stuck in the soft grassy outfield. Tagging IndiGo, he said that Guwahati Kolkata Indigo flight 6F 757 (6E757) skidded off the runway and got stuck in a muddy ground at Jorhat airport in Assam. The flight was scheduled to depart at 2.20 pm, but the flight was delayed following the incident.

Responding to the journalist’s post, IndiGo said- We are concerned about the incident.The concerned team is being informed.
Please share PNR through DM. An AAI official said there was some technical snag in the plane and the flight was canceled at around 8:15 pm. There were 98 passengers on the plane.
According to the information, All the passengers got off the plane and are safe. When contacted, an IndiGo spokesperson said: “We are currently checking the information.”
