New Delhi: An IndiGo flight going to New Delhi from Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik International Airport had to make an emergency landing due to a technical snag. There were 180 passengers on board the flight. All passengers are safe, according to the report.
BPIA Director Prasanna Pradhan told media, “After the detection of technical problems mid-air, the Delhi-bound IndiGo flight made the emergency landing at the airport at 8.20 am.” He further said that A full-scale emergency was declared, and the aircraft landed safely at the airport.
According to the information, Indigo flight 6E 2065 took off from Bhubaneswar Airport for Delhi at 7.50 am on Monday, but within 20 to 25 minutes of take-off, there was a technical fault in the engine. For this the pilot brought the plane back to Bhubaneswar airport. The passengers were also asked to deboard the plane.
According to information received from Biju Patnaik International Airport Authority, this problem has arisen due to bird collision on the plane. The plane will no longer fly.
At the same time, after the news of the plane not taking off again, the concern of the passengers on board has increased. Passengers are worried about how they will reach their destination and what arrangements are being made by IndiGo in this regard.
However, this is not the first time, but even before this, emergency landing of Indigo flats has been done many times. Just a few days ago, an engine of an Indigo flight going from Kolkata to Bangalore suddenly stopped during the journey. Later it was landed safely. Apart from this, on August 4 also, Indigo flight 6E 2433 made an emergency landing at Patna airport.
